MOAC (“Mother of all chains”) is a blockchain platform, launched in June 2017 by a group of Chinese developers. It is an open source project with 139 stars on GitHub. The main purpose of creating this platform was to increase blockchain performance using node-based computing power and as well allow on-demand smart contract processing. This is achieved by multi-layered architecture: the whole blockchain is divided on MicroChains (sharding), with possible Cross-chain transactions. On top of the GlobalMother chain event handling is built which includes transaction verification through consensus systems. The upper layer contains MicroChain smart contracts, this also enables nodes to register into mining pools. And on top of all these layers MOAC provides API to get easy access to blockchain functions and data from external software.

The main advantage of this blockchain are high transaction speed and possibility to adapt to needs of developers.
