CPChain (CPC) is a new kind of a distributed network that seeks to connect the IoT to the blockchain. It will provide a data platform for IoT characterized by encryption to protect users' data privacy, distributed storage and strong computation thanks to the thousands of nodes instead of a centralized server. The platform aims at reducing connectivity cost, maximize the value of data being transferred and protect the privacy of the data. CPChain is useful in industries such as smart healthcare, smart transportation and smart manufacturing among others. The platform uses CPC token as the currency to run transactions. CPC is an ERC20 token and is thus compatible with ERC20 tokens' wallets. There was a total supply of one billion tokens, 40% of which were issued for the token's ICO (Initial Coin Offering). The ICO which ended on January 24 raised about $30 million.

The team running this project comprises of intelligent individuals from various fields including financial security, business operations and blockchain technology. They include Dr. Matthew Ma, Research and Development Director, Kevin Chan, Production manager, and Senior software engineers Kevin Xu and Borun Fu among others.
