Do banks really "need" Ripple.?

I am curious if banks even have to use Ripple. Switzerlands banks for instants just made the digital CHF and they did not use Ripple. So if they can do it, why should any other bank do it?

XUMM Tangem Cards confusion

Hey guys

I have been reading some earlier posts on the XUMM wallet and i still do not completely understand. So, I know why its a good idea to make one, and i have and i also made and saved the secret numbers on paper. I am considering buying the XUMM Pro Beta to get the Tangem cards and maybe be able to onramp and offramp. But this is what i am unsure about.

If i get the cards will these cards be the only way to get into my account and will the secret numbers be irrelevant? So if i loose them im fucked or is there still a way to get into my account. (ChatGPT said this ,so its maybe false) But if its true, I know im being paranoid, but what if the cards gets destroyed or stop working over time.

In principle arent these card almost like the piece of paper with the written down code? and should you just keep them in a safe?

And what if someone gets these cards (e.g. steals them) is it impossible for them to take advantage of or is their a way they can get into my holding/wallet?

And this is probably the dumbest question yet but it says offramp and onramp is only available in UK NL right now, so i have to be living in these countries to be able to sell via the app? And if so, why wouldn't it be possible in every country in the future when beta is over? If i can via e.g. Binance in my country.

If you bought XUMM Pro i would love to know if you are satisfied with the pro membership and what you use it for.
