Everipedia is a decentralized encyclopedia dApp developed on the EOS blockchain. Everipedia has three core network modules i.e. IQ token module, Article module, and Governance module. Everipedia (IQ) tokens are used on the platform for voting and updating of the platform.
The Everipedia (IQ) tokens are also used to incentivize the content writers, pay transaction fees and locking the tokens for article consensus process. The Everipedia (IQ) token holders have rights to approve edits, sellShow more [+] e services and create network-wide rules that govern the Everipedia database. Everipedia article module is used to submit the articles and propose the edits in the database. The "edit proposal" requires small amount IQ tokens as collateral, which is returned if the proposal is accepted. This helps in eliminating the spam content. The governance module of Everipedia refers to the proposed changes in the network itself for improving security, features, and efficiency of the platform. However, it cannot change the token balances and articles in the database.
Everipedia was founded by Sam Kazemian (President), Theodor Forselius (CEO), Mahbod Moghadam (CCO) and Travis Moore (CTO). The co-founder of Wikipedia, Larry Sanger also joined Everipedia in December 2017. The team consists of 8 other members including developers, designers, and marketers.
