Hello friends,
I apologize for my English ability. There was a post about Danal Fintech allowing/planning people to pay with PCI in Korea. Medium Article. I'm very surprised that there isn't many discussion about this. I'm Korean living in Seoul and I thought that this news was very big.
When Danal Fintech announced that they will let people trade BTC, ETH, and ICX into PCI and then use them at places like convenience stores, I thought it was big news. Danal's stock went up 30% at the announcement. PCI also went 25 multiple from 0.20 USD to 5.00 USD and now is 2.00 USD, 10 multiple from before price.
From Korean's point of view, I believe this is huge because it can be used at convenience store. 편의점
I don't know other country but in Seoul, there is convenience store almost every 100 to 500 meter. In Gangnam, you can find more than 100 convenience store in 1km radius. Most people who use convenience stores are usually 20 to 40 year old, who is exactly the people who are buying bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.
These days, most 20 to 30 year old buy coffee, snacks, food, drinks, and alcohol from convenience stores. I think that most people who go to convenience stores like 7-11, GS25, and CU go almost everyday. I go there once or twice a day to buy some coffee or food.
I think that mass adoption and using it as currency is very important, and marketing to audience who buy cryptocurrency is a very smart idea. Marketing in sectors where many people cannot use it is bad, they are marketing to people who will use it and maybe add more partnership later.
I am excited for other possibly partnerships. If ICX can partner with 배달의민족, a very very big delivery app, or COUPANG, like Korean Amazon, it will be great!
Thank you friends 감사합니다! 좋은 할수 되세요!
