I just wanted to pass this on from Sam from the zenGate team. Just a friendly reminder that a few Ergo projects have applied to Catalyst funding. Some off the top of my head include the Spectrum team and the ErgoPad / Paideia teams.

The zenGate team also put a few proposals in as well, including a big one along side the Rosen bridge and Spectrum team to bootstrap the watcher set to improve security of the bridge.

The deadline to actually vote and register wallets is coming up on Friday the 18th Aug. For those that have some ADA, it would be great to rally the support of the Ergo community and get some votes for Ergo projects building on Cardano as well.

Just a heads up to anyone not keeping up with development on the Ergo network. The dev team for Rosen Bridge, a multi-chain capable bridge platform situated on Ergo has launched a public beta test between the Ergo and Cardano networks. If you're interested in reading more on the launch and the bridge's capabilities I have attached a news article relating to it.

This is ErgoMinnow (maybe some of you will recognize me from twitter).

I'm just wanting to make a quick post letting you all know that the Rosen Bridge from Ergo to Cardano is now live with public testing taking place today!

You can use ADA and Hosky on Cardano and ERG and Comet on Ergo.

This bridge is open source, trustless and permissionless.

Please DYOR and KYA when using the bridge.

As to my understanding, one of the coolest things about Rosen is that it only utilizes Ergo's smart contracts which lowers the potential attack vector on the bridge. There is no need to worry about the security assumptions of the other chain it connects to (not that I think Cardano has poor security).

Look into it for yourselves folks! A lot of us in the Ergo community believe this could become the back-end hub of interoperability in the crypto space!

With all these news coming up, with politicians changing their views about crypto weekly, it is obvious that this this is a Golden standard dapp. Open source, permission-less, non custodial, non interactive, self hosted, with clear assumptions.

One of the first concerns when assessing privacy on blockchain is the immutability of transactions. The technology records every transaction on a public ledger, making it impossible for developers, miners, or users to alter transactions. The immutable design fullfills the idea of decentralisation, however, the public permanent records of every transaction can be a privacy concern .Optional privacy tools are essential.

Folks who care about their privacy are not criminals. This is a false narrative who serves the interests of the establishment.

Ergomixer is a privacy solution that allows users to send or receive tokens on Ergo without revealing their crypto wallet details such as wallet address or wallet balance. The non-custodial mixer uses Ergo’s Sigma Protocols to protect user identities when utilised.

With Rosen Bridge coming out , a second layer authentication bridge that relies on ERGO without requiring trust , other assets of other blockchains will be able to use this privacy tool. A framework for cross-chain settlement.
