Sentinel Protocol (UPP) is an Ethereum based utility token complying ERC-20 standards and is used to license the advanced products and services. The token is also used for paying on-chain processing fees. Sentinel Protocol is building a crowdsourced threat intelligence database on the blockchain. Sentinel utilizes a collective intelligence system created through the verified data on the blockchain. Sentinel consists of a Security Intelligence Platform for Blockchain (SIPB) with security featuresShow more [+] such as Threat reputation database (TRDB), Machine learning engine integrated security wallet (S-Wallet) and distributed malware analysis sandbox (D-Sandbox). Sentinel protocol offers an anti-theft system for crypto assets, malformed transaction prevention, and unknown threat preventions using machine learning engine within the S-Wallet.
Sentinel protocol (UPP) uses Delegated Proof of Stake as consensus mechanism for validation of the transactions. The sentinels, delegated by the Uppsala Foundation are a team of proven individuals or institutions with cybersecurity experience. The Sentinels are given Sentinel Points (SP) as a score of their reputation using Proof of Protection protocol. These Sentinel Points can be converted to UPP tokens.
Uppsala Foundation was founded by Patrick Kim, the present CEO. The Sentinel Protocol is developed and governed by the Uppsala foundation. The team consists of 21 members. There are 7 members in the advisory board including Simon Kim, CEO at Hashed.
