Moeda (MDA) is an ERC-20 token developed on the Ethereum blockchain providing a cooperative decentralized banking system. Moeda is a Portuguese word meaning a "coin". Moeda offers three basic services i.e. payments, Remittances, and Lending. The mission of Moeda cooperative banking system is to provide investors with real-time transparency, facilitate and scale payment transactions as well as provide a decentralized mobile lending system. Moeda revenue model is based on licensing the technology to banks and financial institutions in exchange for revenue share or a fixed fee. Moeda platform also offers Moeda Seed Projects aimed towards Impact investments. Moeda uses an integral equilibrium impact formula which has Wisdom, Cooperation, trust and Environment as the impact parameters. Moeda platforms also provide a multipurpose digital identity for products, financing, management, and operations.

Moeda was founded by Taynaah Reis, the present CEO. The project was co-founded by Brad Chun and Isa yu. The team consists of 30 other members. The advisory board has 4 members including Janet Salazar who is the founder of Impact Leadership 21.
