Hi, im currently learning solidity development i was wondering what are your thoughts on the book Mastering Ethereum.

i read Mastering Bitcoin back in 2020, i learned a lot from it.

so now im looking for something where i can learn about the bases and inner workings of ethereum, so my questions are.

Im wondering what the best method is to get Eth from exchanges onto hardware wallet.... The gas fees are always insane I loose about half of the transaction to fees and bridging ETH from other networks it’s just as expensive as sending from the exchanges pretty much similar price... what is the best way to achieve this!??

I’ve been looking for staking options, but everything I’ve been seeing like rocket pool and Coinbase staking you need to convert it to another form of eth, and/or you need to put it under a services custody

I think that blockchain is the perfect solution for a lottery.
Offline, tons of people play the lottery.
Why are there none online?

Where you could just bet eth\usdt, and potentially win millions.
Without relying on the organizers, using some solid on-chain randomness.
Without KYC, email registration, and with instant payout.

I studied the top Google results, several articles listing crypto lotteries relevant in 2023, asked AI. Here's what came up. But I still didn't find a proper crypto lottery.

Megamoon looks pretty good functionality-wise, but seems like it was abandoned 2 months ago. And judging by the block explorer no one uses it.

There's no shortage of slots and sports betting. And sports express bets are used like lotteries too. Is sports still perceived by players as the most reliable source of randomness?

As I sit down to write this post people who own Ethereum and run validators are STILL considered institutional investors.

This has been going on for the past 2 years.

Meaning if you are NOT using an exchange (custodial) you are considered an “institutional investor”. Correct me if I am wrong.

Why am I posting the above information?

It relates to the current topic I would like to discuss. If you can contribute in the comments it would be much appreciated.

Ledger Live has been tracking users location and data since it’s inception. MetaMask was doing the same thing. I’m sure the people in this sub know that. However, Apple forced MM to remove the tracking code. For those of you that don’t know MM was taken out of the Apple iOS App Store awhile back. Of course now, MM is back in the App Store. They have been for a few weeks.

Now, lets get back to ledger live.

There is a way to turn the tracking function off.

If you DO NOT WANT Ledger Live to SPY on you, try the following..

1. Turn on Ledger Live.

2. Go to settings.

3. Look at the general tab.

4. Scroll down to find analytics.

5. Un-click the analytics tab.

Boom. You are done. I hope this helps someone. In theory this should remove any data function sets that provide Ledger Live with YOUR personal information.

I’m sure people have brought this up in this sub by now, but I felt like re-visiting this particular topic due to its importance.
