I am currently mining XMG on my laptop (ASUS Q550LF, 1.8 GHz Quad-core i7-4500u) and my phone (HTC u11, 2.45 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835) and getting similar hashrates. I consistently get 20kh/s on the HTC u11 running neo-neon miner, and 20-30kh/s on the ASUS laptop running minerd. I guess I'm confused because you would expect a laptop to outperform a phone until you look at the processor comparisons, at which point I would expect my phone to achieve a higher hashrate. Does anybody have any input or suggestions? Are there better programs to use for higher hashrates for either device?
Now that the hard fork of the wallet has been out for a month, is there any sign of more attacks or other problems? The value of the coin is down to 15cents but I think the recent hack of a bitcoin exchange may have contributed to that. I like the coin, do not get me wrong and my Orange Pi Plus/Lite2 boards pump out 22khash/sec while only consuming 4 watts each.
