What is MaidSafe Coin? MaidSafe = MAID（Massive Array of Internet Disks）+ SAFE (Secure Access For Everyone) network.
safecoin is theShow more [+] cryptocurrency of the SAFE (Secure Access For Everyone) network.
The SAFE network takes all the Internet services currently available today and decentralizes them, removing servers and other central points of weakness enabling privacy, security and anonymity to all Internet users for the first time.
safecoin is a fair and transparent way of giving end users, developers and backers the opportunity to get involved with SAFE network. safecoins may be earned, traded or purchased and a total cap of 4.3 billion will be generated.
MaidSafeCoin is a proxy token that was released during MaidSafe's crowd sale and will be swapped for Safecoin on a 1:1 basis when Safecoin is released. MaidSafeCoin is a token that is listed on the bitcoin blockchain and can be purchased on a number of exchanges.
I'd always imagined a scenario where lots of companies would employ MaidSafe to build their own network based on their own specific needs. So a low hanging fruit would be the big online poker companies, for example. They spend a high % of their turnover on servers and security, and so i thought employing MaidSafe to build a network specific for their needs in return for very small % of turnover (MaidSafe's original idea) was a perfect match. They could of theoretically had no change to the user bar an update, with the user still being able to access the program through an app on their desktop.
With MaidSafe announcing a change in the license agreements at the DevCon is this now an unlikely scenario? Would the only option now be for the big poker companies to build and run their app within the SAFE Network? Do you think that is a viable option for a company with an already established large userbase?
Ok so i'm wondering, how will MAID tokens be exchanged for the new safe token? Will we see a new listing, or will MAID simply rebrand? Also, token supply and exchanges, how will these be affected? Thanks
