Achain is public blockchain platform that allows developers to issue tokens, create smart contracts, build decentralized applications as well as blockchain systems. Lastly, there is the Cosmos Network, that is still under development. Once this network is fully developed, intra and inter network exchange of data will be possible. It will also enable interoperability within the Achain platform. Cross-chain functions have been developed into the platform's wallet called Achain Lite Wallet.

The currency or fuel used in Achain's platform is the ACT coin. The coin is never premined, and has a good liquidity. It is supported by the Kcahs wallet and can be bought and traded on various exchanges including OKEx, Allcoin, Indodax, Bitbns, Huobi and Koinex. Achain also partners with Pundi, Tongstar and BlockSHOW among other companies.

It is managed by a team of community members from different countries, led by the founder and CEO Tony Cui. Cui is a veteran in the blockchain and computer industry.
