    About Ravencoins [RVN]

Ravencoin uses block chain technology to enable peer-to-peer asset transfers. Ravencoin (RVN) is a cryptocurrency intended exclusively for asset transfers. This sets it apart from other currencies, where this is an afterthought.

It accomplishes this by allowing anyone to create a digital property secured by RVN. This commodity can then be handed to another person, with the transaction fees paid in RVN. The Ravencoin ledger is then updated to reflect the new asset owner.

    What is Ravencoins [RVN]?

Ravencoin is a global peer-to-peer (P2P) system that intends to construct a use case-specific ledger that is intended to efficiently execute a single function: asset transfers from one party to another. Ravencoin was launched on Oct. 31, 2017, and tools for mining were published on Jan. 3, 2018, with what is known as a fair release: no premine, ICO, or masternodes. It was called after the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Who Are the Founders of Ravencoins [RVN]?

Bruce Fenton, Tron Black, and Joel Weight produced the Ravencoin whitepaper. They were all seasoned businessmen and developers before they launched their project, which sets them apart from the majority of the crypto crowd.

Fenton really is in the crypto community for serving on the Bitcoin Foundation's board of directors and as an executive director from 2015 to 2018. Prior to crypto, he worked in investment banking for 13 years as a managing director of Atlantis Consulting and as a vice president of Morgan Stanley in the 1990s. He is currently the chief executive of Chainstone Labs, a stealth fintech company.

Tron Black is a senior software engineer with over 30 years of experience, including serving as the CEO of multiple software companies. Since 2013, he has been working in the crypto space on a number of projects, including Verified Wallet and CoinCPA.

Overstock.com's head of research, Weight, is a well-known online store. He formerly worked at Medici Ventures as the COO and CTO. After graduating from the University of Utah, he is a seasoned software engineer who began his career in 1998, currently amid the dot-com bubble.

    What Makes Ravencoins [RVN] Unique?

Ravencoin is a fork of the Bitcoin code that includes four major changes: a modified issuance schedule (with a block reward of 5,000 RVN), a one-minute block time, a coin supply cap of 21 billion (a thousand times that of BTC), and a mining algorithm (KAWPOW, formerly X16R and X16RV2 respectively) designed to reduce the centralization of mining caused by ASIC hardware.

Ravencoin is a cryptocurrency that aims to tackle the transfer of ownership and trading on the blockchain. Earlier, an asset created on the Bitcoin blockchain may be mistakenly deleted when the tokens it was produced with were traded.

RVN coins are intended to be used as internal network currency and must be burned in order to issue tokens on the Ravenchain. Real-world custodial things like gold or real euros, digital products and objects, a part of a project such as stocks and bonds, airline miles, or an hour of somebody's income, and so on are all examples of assets. Future Ravencoin protocol versions will include integrated communication and electronic voting.

Where Can You Buy Ravencoin [RVN]?

RVN is an exchangeable coin featuring trading pairs versus Tether (USDT), other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, and fiat currency. Binance, Huobi Global, OKEx, ZG.com, and VCC Exchange are the main Ravencoin trades right now. Others are included on our cryptocurrency exchanges page.
