I recently registered as an investor on Neufund. During the registration process I also went through the KYC process and everything was fine and the verification was successful. Now a few days later I receive an email from [firstname.lastname@example.org](mailto:email@example.com) asking for additional verification specifically for a proof of residence.
Is this legit? It feels really strange to me that the whole KYC process is done through the Neufund platform and then I get asked via email to provide additional documents. Furthermore this email has no Neufund CI it's just a plain email.
This is the text of the email:
Thank you for registering on Neufund. Your documents were reviewed and accepted, we would like to ask you for future reference to provide us also with an up to date proof of residence:
A clear copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement (not older than 3 months). This document needs to include the following information:
- Your name - Your updated residential address - Date of issue
You can simply reply to this email and attached the required document. This is important for us for future monitoring and updating your account details.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
Again it feels odd to ask for such documents via email.
