Mediblock is a blockchain based healthcare application. It uses Ethereum blockchain and has its own ERC20 token MEDX. Mediblock has an open source part (ERC20 token itself), but front-end application is proprietary by a company based in Seoul (South Korea).
The main purpose of Mediblock was to create an info channel, where hospitals and other healthcare institutions could share medical data in a safe and secure way. For each patient a decentralized personal health record (PHR) will be created,Show more [+] and any hospital in the world can access it, but no personal information will be revealed. Joining Mediblock is free for patients if they choose constant only mode, or has a fee if a patient wants to be able to manage his/her personal data. With Medi tokens clients can access upgraded, highly customized digital healthcare services. The private key of the platform is stored on patient’s personal device (mobile phone), so people without smartphones at the moment can’t use Mediblock platform.
