Cortex is a software built on top of Ethereum's blockchain, which provides machine learning functionality to smart contracts and decentralized applications. Cortex is an open source project, launched by a team of developers originally from China. Cortex also has its token CTXC which is an Ethereum ERC20 token; ICO was complete during February-March 2018.
The main purpose of Cortex software was to provide the state-of-the-art machine-learning models for Ethereum smart contracts. At the moment Cortex can be used in two ways. First is by developers, that can create new data models for training AI, and get paid by users, who decide to utilize this model. Second is by cryptocurrency traders, who use Cortex in their smart contracts for creating automated cryptocurrency trading systems.
